Wade MeachAm

Born and raised in Ellerbe, Wade has been hunting the Webb Farm property since he was a lad. His passion for the outdoors and love of dogs has been at the center of his heart for as long as he can recall.

Wade’s reverence for nature and its abounding beauty were instilled in him at an early age through the teachings of his father, a preacher at Mt. Pleasant Church – little white chapel that still stands today at the edge of the property. Parishioner Robert Frost, was another great influencer on Wade’s life…and his poetic stories!

It’s Michael’s time “carrying a bag” for some of the top golfers on the LPGA circuit that gave him the insight and wisdom putting him at the top of the game. “Guiding is a lot like caddying…you are there to direct, support and cheer in each hunter’s success”.

project whether it was managing a client’s small 50-acre property or selling a thousand acres of timber from a mature stand of towering pines to assessing what variety of pine was best suited to plant on a client’s open land. Paul knew the timber, the property and the owners and how to make the land thrive. Hunting became second nature. It’s no wonder that Paul’s stable of labs includes beautiful dogs with names like Cedar and Juneberry…all of them are named after trees!

“after that first hunt, I was hooked!, I enjoyed it so much, spending time outdoors with dogs hunting became my first love and greatest passion”. The draw of the outdoors was so great that Chip left behind a degree in Architecture from Ohio University to pursue his dream. His journey to The Webb Farm is filled with hunting and guiding at some of the West’s best big game and game bird operations. Chip calls Wyoming home and breeds German Shorthairs and Springers.

Ty Wilson

Born and raised in Tennessee Ty is at home in the water as much as he is on the land. He is the qunitesential outdoorsman. Like breathing, being outdoors just comes naturally to him. ..

Whether he’s casting a line or handling a dog, his enthusiasm is contageous. As a guide, he revels in your success just as if it was his own. Perhaps it is this spirit of shared enjoyment that quickly makes Ty seem like an old friend. By the end of your hunt you’re just as likely to be talking about favorite fishing spots, comparing notes on seasonal microbrews or plotting your next hunting adventure.

Drew and his family bought a small farm in Southern Pines, NC where he breeds and trains bird dogs for himself and clients. Drew truly enjoys guiding and revels in each guest’s excitement whether its from watching the skill of a good bird dog or the thrill from a great hunt.

Living the sporting life is a true, year-round, family tradition for Drew Mick. His winter passion is hunting and guiding for upland birds and in the summer, he can regularly be found fly fishing on the South Holston River in Tennessee or on the rivers in Montana.
