- Merge onto US-1S/Sandford/Pinehurst
- Slight Right Turn onto US 15/501 S/Carthage
- Continue to follow US-15 S/US-501 S.
- Turn right onto NC Highway 73/NC-73.
- Turn left onto NC Highway 211/NC-73/NC-211(slight jog to continue on NC Highway 73)

- Monroe Expressway/US-74 Bus E becomes US-74 E. (approx. 20 miles)
- Merge onto W US Highway 74/US-74 Bus E via EXIT 306 toward Rockingham. (approx. 30 miles)
- Take the US-1 exit, EXIT 311, toward US-220/ Cheraw/Southern Pines/Rockingham.
